I was wondering if anyone else has seen the black cat with vibrant eyes, one purple and the other blue, who likes to sit on the ledge above the entrance to the Medicinal Potions building. The first time I saw him, he stared directly into my third eye like he was desperate to tell me something. I know I haven't mastered my telepathy yet, but I feel like I should be able to gather at least a faint idea of what the cat is trying to convey. He only seems to appear at night when there is a crescent moon in the sky, so I will try to remember to ask Mr. VanWrinkle, the astrology professor.

Whenever I can't be bothered to pay attention to reality, I go to a special place in my head. It's a small garden with a multitude of willow trees and flowers of all kinds scattered about. Inside hollowed out nooks in the tree trunks are rows of books, fiction and nonfiction alike; some are filled with my memories, and some with the lives of whatever spirits are in my vicinity. Overall, its a very peaceful place that I can spend hours upon hours in. Although it sounds imaginary, it is a real place. As long as you know how, you can enter whenever you want to.

Recently, however, it's been a bit more hectic. Someone has been rifling through the books, throwing them down on the ground and even ripping out some pages. There are also a number of holes of varying sizes dug in random places, as if someone is searching for something. I have no idea what they need so desperately, but its starting to become a problem.

I have just found a mysterious tooth on one of the bookshelves in the library. I'm not sensing any auras that could tell me who it belongs to, so if anyone has information regarding a someone's missing molar, let me know. It has a little bit of what I think is cilantro stuck to it, so it's probably someone who enjoys tacos. Also, it was right next to the book "Boo-hoo: A Guide to Ghost Psychology," if that helps narrow down the list. Don't worry though; if we don't find the owner, I can always make it the newest edition to my charm bracelet.

Sometimes it's hard to know what's real. The spirits' voices make it a little hard to focus, and sometimes they make be believe things that aren't true. Hopefully my acceptance into Physic High School is real, though! It's been amazing so far, and it's only my first day.

I successfully decorated and charmed my dorm, from the flowy curtains that cover my window and make the sunlight patterns on the floor to the dreamcatchers that I wove out of my gryphon's feathers (to distract any spirits who would try to pester me at night). And, of course, I didn't forget my crystals! How else would I channel my powers?

My first class of the day, Ancient Summoning Chants, sounds as difficult as it does interesting. Luckily, my grandmother owns a shrunken head of her former instructor (long story) that hopefully she can lend to me! He seems like he could make a great tutor if I temporarily undid the stitches on his mouth and eyes.

I can already tell my absolute favorite course will be Animal Telepathy. The Professor, Miss Belanova, says those who already have a natural sensitivity towards the calling of the spirit world are usually very gifted in connecting to those of this dimension, whether they be animals or people.

Well, I'm going to have to end my journal entry here. Jayne, the most persistent spirit who loves to mess with me, is saying I need to pour salt on my windowsill and door due to a demonic presence he is sensing. It's probably not true, but better safe than sorry. Maybe I'll make some popcorn to eat with the extra salt.
