ANALYST'S NOTES: Back at the Nines' HQ, freshman Nettie Eagan is getting increasingly bored with the upperclassmen's dramatics. We learn Nettie's backstory and how she's been picked on for her lack of hygiene, though she comes from a family of very hygienic extraterrestrials. She convinces fellow freshman Thad to cause some mischief of a devilish sort.

ANALYST'S NOTES: Mr. Anderson's old friend Holly Moss drops by the Nines' HQ. Mr. Anderson explains how they first met, and that she is part ghost. Later, while they're enjoying dinner at a local ghost restaurant, Holly's incorrigible sister Hilgardt makes a sudden raucous appearance.

ANALYST'S NOTES: Little Timothy Neffer apologizes to Lara about his obsession with staircases, but she's not having it. Lara realizes they're on a game show, being judged, and asks the judges how they'd feel in her position. Later, Lara tells Timothy and Prince Moynihan they can choose between the staircase or her.
