Welcome to Summer Session, students!

While many of your friends may be enjoying exotic vacations or lounging around in their rooms at their parents' or parent's or grandparent's or court appointed guardian robot's house, or toiling away at low wage jobs preparing you for a life of crushed dreams and disappointment. you have a very special summer ahead of you--attending Psychic High School!

Really, in my opinion, you've got the better end of the deal. I myself attended summer sessions for every single one of my school summers, going all the way back to first grade at Blavatsky Elementary. It may have had a lot to do with my choice of profession, and my extreme fear of living outside of the Psychic School system.

It can be rather limiting in terms of the circles you run in, and through time certainly reduces the pool of potential "life partners" to choose from. Which is why I have--grudgingly--agreed to a short summer vacation with psychic underground adventurer and terminal PsyPhD student @Seketus Reed exploring the Caves of the Unknown in South Dakota, USA. "Give it one more chance" he says. But when it's the only offer you have to get out of town, you take what you can get.

In any case, whether you're here because of the terms of your psychic juvenile probation agreement, inability to pass Psychic PE, or your parents have just entirely forgotten about you, get ready to enjoy having the campus relatively to yourselves, and equally unenthusiastic faculty and staff to spend your time with.

I like Psychic High School because it helps me identify the rituals of religious and political propaganda that are the cornerstones of our lives. Then I create mobiles out of pipe cleaners and construction paper to weaken their power fields.

i saw a huge nursing textbook fly off the shelf at a barnes & nobles. the book was fully on the shelf, tucked in between other heavy textbooks. nobody was on either side of the aisles. it went from fully pushed back and nestled onto the shelf, to on the floor about a foot away, in just seconds.
