Okay! I'd be glad to join!

Do I see another candidate for Shadow City Force Five, @Bella? That's great! Just start collecting all the shadows you can and bring them to Shadow Sewing Circle this afternoon. We pay by the bushel, and by the piece in terms of sewing. I'm sure @Loius C. will show you the ropes!

So the school nurse says I don't have very good shadow tolerance, and I've got way too many sewed on?? This is very unfortunate, as I can't seem to remove any, and every time I even think about it, they send me horrible headaches. Does anyone have any ideas for getting them off? The only thing I can think of would be just cutting them off, but that seems morally dubious and more likely to damage them than not.
Anyway, I've resorted to drinking massive, probably unhealthy amounts of coffee, and I'm feeling a bit more alert than before.
I'd join the Shadow City Force Five, but honestly, I'm still kind of sleepy, and I'd probably end up sewing the shadows all wrong or leaving needles in them.

I'd like to apologize to everyone who got their shadows sewed on upside down last night. I wasn't at sewing circle of course, because of my allergies, but I heard that our new Shadow City Force Five recruit @Louis C. got things a little backwards. Come back this afternoon and we'll flip that around and make it right, PLUS we'll throw in an additional accent shadow at NO EXTRA COST TO YOU!

@Louis C.'s got a lot of enthusiasm, but hasn't had that much sewing experience. All it takes is practice! I have a good feeling that he's going to work out just fine. He's also the only member of the Shadow City Force Five so far. So really it's just Shadow City Force One. Wouldn't you like to join @Louis C. and be a part of our street team? Sign up today for Shadow City Force Five and be a part of this exciting new movement!

Sorry I haven't been around much; I got sidetracked with all the things my shadows are showing me. My perception of time has been terrible—yesterday I spent what I thought was only a couple of minutes with my shadows, but it turns out it was hours.
I've been feeling way sleepier than normal, too. I just can't keep my eyes open for longer than a few minutes.
It's all so hazy...
Honestly, everything seems so much less important now. I wish I could just fall asleep and dream of these memories forever.
Maybe I will.

So, I'm a new student and I joined Shadow City Force Five and I went into town and got like two dozen shadows from the fireworks last night. They're kinda freaky looking but I think they'll be cool. I will bring them to the sewing circle!

The best way to cure to my shadow allergy is to limit my exposure. Which is why I'm so glad to have enlisted a bunch of summer students to gather them for me: the Shadow City Force Five! Congrats if you made the squad. I'll expect regular reports about filling your shadow quota, and how you're keeping up with the orders. But in no way can I come in contact with any shadows! The school nurse said I could go totally anaphylactic if I do.

Let's keep the Shadow Sewing Circle flying high at Psyhigh!!!!

@Shady Glen most of what you said made sense, but a lot of people, human, shadow, alien and other alike, seem to misunderstand my situation.
BeanBean is me. Azura is also me. The shadows helped me with this. They're both me. They always have been, but I didn't quite realise.

The holes in my memory aren't quite holes. My memory simply isn't linear.

Let's put it like this. Time is a river. Along the river are trees. The leaves of the trees are my memories. When a leaf falls in, I remember something. Now, for most, the leaves fall into the river directly down, so that the memories are only remembered AFTER the event. For me, however, the leaves fall wherever they want, meaning I sometimes remember things that haven't happened, or that happened years ago, but feel like they're days ago. Basically, I can't put my life in a timeline, ever.

It's not holes. Its just a puzzle that's been put together the wrong way, and it simply doesn't make sense anymore.

But the age of shadows does seem an odd thing to me... but it also makes sense. I do not experience age quite like others, but I know that it even happens to me. Shadows grow as they go, and I assume that the longer they stay separate, the more they'll experience.

My shadows like being attached. They like it, but I doubt they'll want to be with me forever. One day, when they want to, I will let them go.

I will miss them. So much.

Shadows have short memories. We're fascinated by mimicry. You can hypnotize a shadow in no time.

The longer we're freelance, the more we think for ourselves. They say that if you're unattached long enough you start to take on physical form. Then you might get a shadow of your own. You have some holes in your memory, don't you @Azura Kynold? Who is BeanBean exactly? Have you wondered who's the shadower, and who's the shadowee? I've seen this happen before.

If the shadows you catch are young and lost, @Moira Angela, sewing them on to new people might be doing them a favor. They don't really have minds. But if they put up a fight, you should practice catch and release.

That sounds horrible, @Moira Angela . Having an allergy to something you love is a difficult thing. Well, if you actually love sewing shadows, that is. Some people do things that they don't love for the enjoyment of others. Life is fragile. Have fun.

I hope that this clears up, and doesn't kill you or make your lips swell up. I'd suggest not eating any shadows, because your throat will swell up and you'll die, and also because that's just horrible, who would do that to a poor defenceless shadow... or an armed one.

The best way to cure a mild allergy is to slowly expose yourself to a liiiiittle bit of what you're allergic to every other day.
