ya, i've been winning a lot at tarot card match match, and losing sometimes but it seems like i win more than i lose. i've got so many extra memories now it's getting confusing to remember which ones are really mine. swimming lessons, in fourth grade, with the old men in swim caps teaching us to float on our backs and stare at the giant fans... i think that's @Rinsey105. and the weird place in the woods underneath the bushes, that's @Clumsy Johnson. everybody's got memories like that though.

but winning @Chesterfield and @Bat Macumba's memories... wtf? days and days of wandering around in overgrown mazes, tracing mossy patterns in ancient stone slabs with their fingers, feeling around in dark attics and breathing dust. one of them, i'm not sure which, stared at a goat skull spinning on a record turntable for 9 hours straight under a strobe light. and now all that's in my head.

but you cant ante up other people's memories that you already won! did you know that? i tried last night and they told me it wasn't allowed. nothing but your own memories go into the kitty.

and then i had another big night. oy. my head.

One thing Tarot Card Match Match has done for me is really upped my style quotient. Who knew that Eldritch Goodwill had such a good supply of tweed? And all my new memories really make it easy to know exactly how to put together a good outfit.

About the memories... I know I must have had parents once, and a childhood, but mostly it seems like I've spent my life in overgrown cemeteries and studying the doors of ancient tombs. Also, staring at weird symbols, which I'm starting to trace on everything I put my hands on. I've been carving them into the dirt in the sculpture garden if anybody wants to see.

Woah, I've never played this one before! Now how do you play?

Newcomers are always welcome to the Tarot Card Match Match table, @Elyris! Just a few minutes to learn, a lifetime to master (as @Chesterfield likes to say).

Basically, Tarot Card Match Match is a French melding and trick-taking card game that utilizes two full 78 card decks, both major and minor arcana, which are shuffled and then laid down in a 12 x 13 grid, or a 1 x 156 line, or anywhere between (including base 5, Pronic, Harshad, or my favorite - Dodecagonal). Each player flips cards, hoping to create matches and melds and taking tricks. We like to play Schrödinger style, so the interplay of the mind set of each player and the representational power of the cards is maximized, and literally ANYTHING can happen!

Also, we do like to include a mild gentleman's wager in each game, which consists of memory chips. Players can ante up with their most inconsequential memories early in the game, but the longer each game goes, the bigger the stakes! It's all just for fun though.

We're in the unused room in the very back of the library. Starts at 9. Can't wait to see you tonight!

I just realized I missed it! I am so so so sorry! Do you have a schedule for these games or is it just whenever you can find enough people to play? Again, so sorry for not being there!

(I really need to figure out the portal system, and find a game. I'm still stuck in the dorm building looking for my room and my roommate.)

I believe we've reached maximum habitation, @Elyris, and your participation in our Tarot Card Match Match game will not be necessary.

Like filling an ice tray with water, the individual vessels have been topped off, their memories carefully drained and replaced with those of the ancient line of acolytes of Nfrem.

Now they sit before the velvet gaming table, their bodies so young but their minds so ancient, making alien expressions with unfamiliar flesh. And each one impeccably dressed.

Together we will complete the ancient rites, and ready the coming of Nfrem.
