If you've read the maintenance manual for your Transdimensional Shape Foam Bed, you'll know how vital regularly scheduled maintenance is. Frequency is determined by days, hours slept in, or dream miles covered. Depending on how you use your bed, your mileage may vary.

I'd been taking mine out nightly, far past the Anamorphic Borderlands and into the interior of the Oneiric Superstructure. Had a close call out near the Laminar Gates, spent untold time in the Limbic Dunes, and even surfed the Aserinsky Tides.

This caused the dream miles stack up quickly, and I noticed I was running a little hot. A quick check of the manual suggested a full flush of the chamomile and warm milk systems, and luckily there was a dream bed service station not five ticks from the recurrent promontory I was currently circling. But reaching the station was far easier said than done, and try as I might I could not seem to leave the irresistible gravity of the promontory. Just as I thought I'd escaped it, I'd find myself circling back, time after--

"Hey Santos! Seriously!!! You've got like 5 minutes to get to class. Quit hittin' the snooze button, man."

Hey everybody I discovered that if you tune the control box on your transdimensional shape foam bed to 432 Hz you can pick up on the telepathic band of the dolphins' levitation helmets. It's best to do while you're asleep so you can more fully assimilate the frequency.

I found out I can get class credit in Social Justice Hexing 201 for monitoring the frequency and taking notes, and since it's a 10am class that means I can sleep till noon! Here is some of my transcription from my first day:

Swim with the light! Swim with the light!

Yaaaaas fin!

Wait, which light? I see like, four.

The clear light! Cleeeeeeeeeer!

Yaaaas cleeeeeeer!

*bonk* Oh no! Window!!!! Don't go that way.

Yaaaaas window!

No, not that way. Smash authority! Not noses!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssss!

it's super convenient that the trans dimensional shape foam beds have an orientation mode. at first i thought it meant which way the bed was facing, but then i slept, and when i dreamed i dreamed i was in a classroom with a bunch of other students and there was a teacher explaining something. then we all went outside into the garden and i plucked a strange and beautiful flower. when i woke up, nothing the teacher said made any sense, but i still had that flower in my hand.

so i'd suggest dialing in the orientation mode on your trans dimensional shape foam bed, @Mythic. it's a great way to get to know the school.

Trans-Dimensional Shape Foam Beds Dream Journal Day 38.

There was a large structure, like a natural gas processing plant, made up of white metal tubes. I was up inside it, and the entire thing had a jungle gym-like quality. It was the place where the "first pressings" were made, which were like the original versions of words or ideas. As soon as those versions were seen, copies were automatically made of them at identical facilities, and as soon as those copies were thought about then additional copies of those copies were made at similar plants.

I was at the one where the originals were made and was trying to get to the place right before it but couldn't, because it was morning and time to wake up and I'd wake up and then fall back to sleep inside the dream and see the same plant and as soon as I thought about trying to get to the place before it I'd wake up again and then fall back to sleep dreaming of the same "first pressings" plant.

For a while I was only comfortable sleeping in the closet. Though I've adapted pretty well to your modern, non-stone-age time, some old habits die hard, and sleeping in a dark, enclosed area like a closet was as close as I could get to my old comforting cave.

However! Even I'm not comfortable curling up next to that strange, flesh eating fruit creature that @Ava Elisabeth calls a pet. I've napped with mammoth and glyptodon and giant sloth, but never with intelligent carnivorous plant life. Guess the ice age kept the banana watermelon hybrids from getting up and walking around!

So, until such time as that @EmilyDH returns to claim it, I'm the proud resident of this high-tech space-age bed in Ava's room. It still feels rather exposed, like a Teratorn could just swoop down and carry me off at any minute! I'm sleeping with my spear.

Trans-Dimensional Shape Foam Beds Dream Journal Day 78.

I was in charge of getting a bunch of elementary school kids on a field trip. I got them on a public bus, though it was a little chaotic. We ended up in an underground parking garage. I got out of the bus a little too early but was able to walk up to their departure area. There was talk of a “Split Epcot” up above in the building, and I led the kids to an area behind a glass wall to some long tables set up for crafts. I took my place at one of the stations and, using only my mind, manifested many small imitation crystals, which fell from my hands onto a little mat. I had to strain a little bit it wasn’t uncomfortable. Then I “freestyled” which meant I didn’t “try” to make anything particular, but just let my general artistic feeling work itself out through this ability to manifest objects. The result was a sculpture roughly one cubic foot, made of plastic pieces ranging from one to four inches long in various geometric shapes and colors, as well as a small chrome desk lamp. The teacher who was running the crafts table said it was very nice and took it from me to be set on the finished table, or perhaps entered into a contest.
