Magic Surge

So, an update on the little blobs.
They just kind of merged into this colossal patchwork superbeing and attacked the dragon. It fought back with its black fire, but it seemed weaker than usual. It started howling and then reverted into...well...a hatchling. I picked it up and ran with it. I'm currently in the cafeteria, typing on my laptop. A few tiny little blobs have followed, but they're small enough for me to squash with my foot.
I don't know what the heck is going on. This stuff hasn't happened to me before. It seems like all of a sudden my powers are going haywire. I don't know what that means for me and for the dragon, but it keeps telepathically talking about orbs in the kitchen. I wish I could just understand what was happening...
Stay away from my room. Do not go near it. I don't want for any of you to go through what I'm going through now.
Or maybe you already are suffering something like this.
I really hope that's not happening.

OH DANG IT.
In case you're thinking there must be some kind of reason for why I'm posting again already, you are right.
There are these little blobs crawling all across the floor of my dorm. They all look different. There are ones that are yellow, orange, blue, striped, spotted...some of them are bigger than others, some have eyestalks, some have feet, and so on. All of them have eyes that are completely black.
Whenever I step on one, I feel the same painful sensation of ice that I do when my dragon breathes black fire on me. I'm hiding on my bed, hoping that none of them attack me, but some of them are trying to climb up the covers. The horned bear cubs in my closet cast a weak barrier in exchange for the water left in my canteen, so they've bought me some time, but it's not going to last much wronger.
There's also something wrong with the dragon. The purple colors have faded from its scales and it's hiding in the corner, writhing in pain. It's invading my thoughts again and I can't tell exactly what it's trying to say, but sometimes I think I hear it say something. Something like 'just one orb from the kitchen'.
I don't know what that means, and I don't know what's going on, and I don't know what caused this magic surge. I have no idea what to do about the blobs.
Help.
Please.

Oh geez.
So much has happened since I last updated you on my dragon. It's all pretty weird. Somehow, the dragon has already matured. I can't tell how, but it's six feet tall and tries to fly around my tiny sleeping area. I barely have any room. It's insane.
Another problem is that this dragon occasionally breathes black fire that doesn't set anything ablaze but is painfully cold when you touch it, and I think it's - brace yourself - invading my thoughts. I'll be doing schoolwork (yes, I have managed to catch up on my grades!) and I'll just randomly hear some voice in my head that wasn't my own. Is there a class on keeping people from communicating with you telepathically? I could really use a lesson about that right now!
And I understand that @Hammy CH is wondering if pets are allowed and about allergies. I don't think anyone is allergic to a telepathic stalker dragon, but you make a good point about the pet policy. The thing is large and dangerous. I accidentally summoned a family of anthropomorphic bear cubs with horns who are actually kind of friendly and now live in my closet and they've set up some kind of barrier. So the dragon probably won't be able to get out of my room for a while.
I really don't want it in my room, but it won't be safe to have it anywhere else, so I guess that's where we're keeping it. If anybody has a better suggestion, let me know! I'm freaking out here.
So about the horned bear cubs. They're friendly and they help me out a lot, but they always want something in return. Usually it's just a bit of food and water. Scratch that. A lot of food and water. I've barely had anything to eat and drink for days now. If anyone has any spare food, could you just leave it outside my door? Don't worry. You'll know which room is mine because the door will be glowing and there will be noises like growling and rattling bones inside. There will also probably be a bit of burnt CAUTION tape. Try not to touch that stuff.

I'm sorry.
I haven't posted in ages, have I? But you have to forgive me. I've had to deal with a baby dragon for the past two months, and those can be hard to care for. Throw letters to my family, constant schoolwork, sleep, and food into the mix...oh, it's challenging. Especially considering that the dragon is huge, purple, and loves breathing fire.
It's been doing a lot better with its training recently, but there are still a few problems I'm having. It's growing very fast and always needs more food and care. I've been getting grades so low in the past few days because of the dragon that I'm seriously worrying they'll put me in detention, and as anybody will know, that's really not very desirable. Unless you actually like having scalding-hot water dumped on you while strapped to a chair, which I don't.
This dragon could seriously mess up my life. I know there are some people out there who don't think I'm as insane as the others do...could I get your help here? Could you at least give me some aid with my studies? I definitely need help of some sort.

There is an extremely large crack in the dragon egg and part of the tail is poking through it. I think we're in trouble.

I have an update on the egg. It's cracking even more. If you sit down and put your ear against it, you can hear the baby dragon scratching at the walls of the egg. Recently I put my arm around the egg and it purred. So maybe keeping the dragon will be worth it, after all!
I don't know how long it's going to take for it to hatch. It sort of depends on how close to it I am, but given my current schedule and the fact that taking it away from my room is not an option, I think it'll take another week.
By the way: don't even think about going anywhere near my room. Things are going to get worse and worse and worse in there during the next few weeks.
God, how I wish I wasn't the only one here capable of raising these monsters.

That's what I thought the first time I summoned a monster on accident. One moment there was nothing, just darkness, and the next moment it was there. Sort of like a snake, but with two heads. I thought I was insane. I thought I was hallucinating. But the monster wasn't a hallucination, it was just...there.
Some powers are hard to deal with. I suppose we both have one, then? Being the child of a daemon and a faery and getting constantly attacked by demons, and uncontrollably summoning dangerous beasts that seem to be drawn towards you. Yes. Those both sound like hard powers to have.
I hate my power so much.

Well, it looks like I'm not alone in being new to the school and kind of confused...
First things first, you should probably make sure everybody knows precisely what kind of ability you have. Especially if you have an ability like mine - semi-uncontrollable and extremely dangerous.
And then you just try to fit in, go to your classes, and hope your ability doesn't cause damage to anyone. Yes. That sounds like what I've been doing.
