Spirit Building Challenge

In a unanimous vote, the Intramural Spirit Building Team has decided to let the Euclid free. @Melba Cross had the closest relationship to it, so she performed the unbinding spells necessary to disarm the tracking devices, and removed all the unnecessary weaponry. Underneath all that, the official varsity Spirit Building squad really did a nice job with it--it's strong, healthy, coordinated, and well adjusted. All those command and control mechanisms (not to mention the ordnance and armaments) were just making it angry.

Because of that, we don't figure it will be finding its way back to the official Spirit Team's hangar. But maybe it can meet up with our own spirit, wherever it's got to, and they can watch out for each other.

Maybe the intramural Spirit Team will get together and build another one? We weren't too bad at it, were we? But for now we're just gonna take a break for awhile. Maybe relax our minds for a bit.

So far Charlie and his Euclid have burned down Old Man Ferdy's barn, the abandoned playground, the bio-fuel recycling center, and the rest stop on the interstate just south of town.

How is the Euclid able to track our Spirit when we can't even do it? But if the Euclid is so great, why can't it catch our Spirit?

And why don't we have a cool code name for our Spirit?

I think it's clear from the security cam footage that it was our Spirit that was responsible for the destruction at the warehouse complex outside of town. If you freeze it at the 9 minute 37 second mark, you can clearly see it's still got the three big googly eyes we added, and has the same kind of lurching gate. Later in the video--when it's climbing on the security company's car--you can also see it's the right height.

The fact that the warehouse was full of snacks and chips for vending machines does work in our favor in terms of "motive," since our Spirit has no interest in Funyuns, Flamin' Hot Cheetos, or Ruffles, and that after the fence and the south wall were destroyed the entire facility was ransacked by the People of the Woods. But sooner or later, somebody is going to put two and two together. And what happens when our Spirit runs into a shopping mall? Or a hospital?

I know everybody just wants to "lay low," but the longer we don't come forward, the bigger the trouble will be. Unless we really can catch it on our own.

Thoughts?

Our Spirit has escaped. If anyone sees an 8 foot tall, rather lurching biped roaming campus, please do not approach, but contact one of intramural Spirit Team members immediately. It is mostly made of sticks, has a limp, and is covered in moss and a few handfuls of bird feathers, mostly blue jay and crow. It may or may not still have three large googly eyes on its head. It is very fragile, so be careful not to surprise or scare it.

To all intramural Spirit Team members--this is why we keep the door to the workshop locked. I know there's a lot of fingerpointing going on but let's just just learn from this, move forward, and concentrating on locating our lost Spirit.

Airplane glue is what they use to hold airplanes together. Like Boeing. But we will use Spirit Gum, which is what clowns use to keep their noses on, and so is obviously better suited for building Spirit.

My friend Charlie is still on Spirit Team so I'm getting some intel from him. They're building the Euclid in the old airship hangar, so it will be really big. But we have enough space in the back room of the theater building, I think. Really it's not about how big the spirit is, but how powerful. So, if you want to help out, bring as many feathers and old bones or whatever you can find! We're in there every night till late.

I got benched from Spirit Building Team. They had too many people. And I really wanted to help build The Euclid. So now I just have study hall seventh period.
