"Why are you calling from this weird phone? Are you ok? Are you at work?"

"I'm fine. Your dad and I are both fine."

"Dad is with you? Where are you? Oh my god were you kidnapped?"

"No. But, well, I just wanted to hear your voice. Here's your father."

"Hex? Hi. This is going to sound weird, but let's not talk about this call. When we get home later today. Ok? Just pretend it never happened."

"Uh, what? What is going on?"

When the plane landed -- three months before it took off -- the flight controllers were really confused, since Flight 309 was still up in the air. But that was a totally different Flight 309.

So they let the plane land and tried to cover it up. The feds or whatever put all the passengers in lockdown in a Holiday Inn and thought they confiscated everybody's phones, but they missed a couple, so my parents were able to call me.

My parents were on the "Plane from the Future." Fight 309. The one that disappeared over the ocean and was sent back to our time.
