BEEFMORE SERIOUS

I've just come to the end of my first week as a teaching assistant at Psyhigh and I am finding it very difficult and I'm not enjoying it at all. God I hate these kids.

The admin tasks are fine - wiping off the overhead projector, cleaning the tanks for the amphibious students, getting coffee and doing laundry and washing the cars for the teachers. That's all ok.

What I find difficult it how noisy it can be, and the constant nagging I have to do to remind the students to behave appropriately. I think that's the most frustrating, having to constantly repeat myself. And having things thrown at me - spitballs, desks. Being pinned to the ceiling and spun around. And the spontaneous combustion.

I thought I'd love this job because I'd be able to connect with students and motivate them, but I'm really struggling. Any advice? Will it get easier? I've thought about leaving, but the mindblocks put in place when I signed my contract don't let me get very far.
