Even though everyone has access to this place, not many know how to unlock it. The secret on how to expand the horizons of the mind to reach it has been in my family for generations, and we keep it well guarded, as the Life Books belonging to some of the more powerful spirits contain dangerous and often dark forms of magic and power. For this reason, I am understandably wary of the recent break-ins; if in the wrong hands, the knowledge hidden in the Mindscape could cause catastrophic damage.

For the time being, I think it would be wise to increase the general security protecting the place. As I am not nearly powerful enough to perform magic or cast a psychic ward while within the Mindscape, I will have to rely on those damn computers to electronically create a defense system. Wish me luck!

Whenever I can't be bothered to pay attention to reality, I go to a special place in my head. It's a small garden with a multitude of willow trees and flowers of all kinds scattered about. Inside hollowed out nooks in the tree trunks are rows of books, fiction and nonfiction alike; some are filled with my memories, and some with the lives of whatever spirits are in my vicinity. Overall, its a very peaceful place that I can spend hours upon hours in. Although it sounds imaginary, it is a real place. As long as you know how, you can enter whenever you want to.

Recently, however, it's been a bit more hectic. Someone has been rifling through the books, throwing them down on the ground and even ripping out some pages. There are also a number of holes of varying sizes dug in random places, as if someone is searching for something. I have no idea what they need so desperately, but its starting to become a problem.
