well my my it's a flood! my garters are high, and the wind is blowing through my barn door. once upon a time i was just a wee nut sprouting in the fields of maize, fighting with the field mice for a bite after church. and when the floods came then we'd bundle together a few ears of corn and just float it out! but now, with all our gadgets and telephones and cars and washing machines we've got to build submarines and wait it out down beneath.
