This is weird. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing here?

HUMAN HEAD TRANSPLANT SERIES

Hello Students!

For the rest of the month we're hosting a terrific exhibit in the gallery. It's the Human Head Transplant Series -- a travelling exhibition and marketplace displaying one of the widest selection of human heads currently available for transplant. It's a great opportunity to learn about today's most cutting edge medical techniques, bio-ethics, mind-body consciousness studies, and a chance to take part in this budding cottage industry!

It's also a great chance to make new friends, like @Phoebe, who may be a bit disoriented from being moved from place to place in her jar. Come on down to the gallery and make some new friends! Through October 31st.

I applaud the heads! In the future, we'll all be disembodied heads, operating mining machinery on Io, or working at a 7-11 on the moon. I can't wait to meet these forward-thinking individuals and congratulate them on their courage. I heard there's a room where you can get a few out and play with them, tossing treats into their mouths or tickling their noses with feathers. I think there's a live cam too - I'll try and find the link and post it.

Head transplants? Sounds absurd... And strangely intriguing... How does it work I wonder?

I couldn't help but hear you burbling in the jar next to me, @Phoebe. You must be new around here? There's always new faces, coming and going. You must have come on board at our last stop, back in Moonville. Or Half Moon. Or whatever. I just remember that it had "moon" in it.

What happened was this: You got traded in. Hey, it happens to the best of us! Ha ha, get it? It's what happened to all of us. That's why we're here.

But don't worry. Most of the heads turn around pretty quickly. I've only been here a couple of months but I've already been close to getting picked a few times. I think it's best if you just try and be yourself, and not get all overly friendly with them. What you want to do is start hitting it off, but really naturally. DEFINITELY don't cry. Nobody wants a crying head.

So there were a couple of heads I felt I really had a connection with. I mean, like I could really see getting a transplant. And they've got super easy payment plans, that you can submit to your insurance. It's like "why not?" right?

I just don't know if I want the dreamy me or the gets-things-done me. Why do I even have to choose? That's it! Why can't I get two?

I have a sad story about my brother's head transplant. The head he picked rejected him so he had to give it back. But somebody else had already taken his old one and there were no take backs. Then he waited too long to pick a new one and healed over. Now he can't get any new head. He's just a body.

He gets along ok though. It's mostly just sentimental. And there are lots of companies that prefer people with no heads. I'm sure it will work out ok.

I've been thinking about asking @Phoebe to the Halloween dance, but it's a little awkward in my situation. There's only so much dancing you can do with your eyebrows and mouth. I've been working on my ear wiggling and nose flares, but it would be so nice if I could arrange for bodies for both of us for just one night.

So if people are feeling generous and could find it in their heart to swap out with both of us on Halloween I'd be foerever grateful. Thanks for your consideration!

Hey @Gerald I would be willing to trade with @Phobe for the day,since wher ei used to live i used to be AWESOME at Freaky Dancing so no biggee. But only if i don't get asked,which will probably happen anyways-sigh- The ghosts will just have to make do. Anyways good luck and have fun!

I'd be interested in a short-term swap, @Gerald Foy. Just to, you know, see what it's like. You seem like a nice guy and I've been interested in getting a head transplant for awhile. And I'm not planning on going to the dance because I only go out with virtual people, so it would be a great time to try it out. Let me know what you think!
