Ryan Craw - 3/29/2025 9:56pm"Look! Tussle on the west side."
From the top of the First National Bank, we could see some kind of irregular commotion.
"They're going nuts."
"Are they fighting amongst themselves? And what's that squealing noise? Never heard them do that before."
"It's headed this way."
There was a small stampede of them, running with their bushy carrot tops out ahead of them.
"We should get back down and warn the others. If they all rush the doors--"
"No, wait! There's something behind them."
"They look like... giant chickens."
"With riders! There's silver on their saddles!"
The giant chickens were tearing the Carrot Men apart.

Seth Sawhorse - 3/27/2025 9:25pmThose giant chickens were always scary, but ain't they bigger and scarier than ever? I think it could be on account of the carrots. @
Jessica Lucas spotted a patch of them growing near the coop, growing up from the pile of carrot heads, and those chickens can't get enough. @
Hadley Marshall's fixin on breaking one of them so's she can ride it. I'd like to see that!
Eva Colton - 3/25/2025 4:47pmSo I found all the very small carrot men that escaped. They were at the Coop of Baba Yaga and each one had their head bitten off! You'd figure those giant chickens would like their bushy green tops but I guess they are picky eaters.
I don't know just how giant a giant chicken is supposed to get, but those chickens are looking extra giant. And extra hungry.
Cleo Park - 3/20/2025 9:38pmHey Apple Spirit River crew! I have a good feeling about the Ostara Dance. Maybe it can almost compete with the Apple Spirit River Rites of Spring Gala--but only if we all attend! Let's do it! And I stopped by the Coop of Baba Yaga and it looks like those giant chickens have been eating well...
Ryan Craw - 3/16/2025 10:10pmWe could see their big bushy carrot tops bobbing around as they trashed the storefronts below.
"It freaks me out they can't climb."
"Rooted to the earth! Their tips have to touch the ground or they fall asleep. Proven."
"I know. But it still freaks me out."
The thrashing and smashing were terrible. Their tiny arms seemed so weak and fragile, but they could still throw bricks, and tear mailboxes out of the sidewalk.
"Why are they even doing this? It's not like they want to live here."
"Maybe they do. The next step in carrot evolution."
"Work in stores? Go to schools?"
"Seems ok for us. Maybe they're tired of living in dirt."
There was a huge crash as they found some plate glass window they'd missed.
"C'mon. Let's get back down and go to sleep. I've got a test tomorrow."

Eva Colton - 3/8/2025 9:22pmIf anyone notices some very small Carrot Men wandering campus, please just set up a little bowl of carrot milk to entice them and use gloves to pick them up and put them in a box and return them to the Psychic Sentient Flora Lab. Reward offered.
Seth Sawhorse - 3/4/2025 11:51pmCoach would have us eat bunches and bunches of them. It was a ritual we'd do before big games, up by the big chalk drawing of Mr.Carrot on the hill behind the processing plant. Said we'd never lose a game if we did it, and he was right up till near the end.
Isabella Addison - 2/27/2025 8:48pmOh I totally grew up on Old Roots brand carrot snacks too @
Jessica Lucas. My mom would buy them at the carrot processing factory for cheap because she worked there. We'd pig out on Old Root Chips in grade school after school.
Jessica Lucas - 2/23/2025 9:12pmMy dad worked at The Field when it was brand new. They were going to solve world hunger, with "The Root Vegetable of the Ancients."
So I ate a ton of them growing up. I think that is what made them so aggressive.
